âś” Taste kombucha and explore flavoring options

âś” Receive a recipe printout and starter kit (SCOBY + starter tea)

Why Kombucha & Fermented Foods Matter

Fermented foods…including kombucha, yogurt, sauerkraut, kimchi, kefir, and more — are appreciated for their potential role in supporting gut microbiome diversity and overall digestive wellness. Emerging nutrition research shows that these foods can interact with the complex community of microorganisms in our gut, which is closely tied to digestion and general health.

Probiotics, defined as live microorganisms that may help support gut balance, are sometimes found in fermented foods when live cultures are present. While not all fermented foods meet the strict scientific definition of probiotics, many traditional fermentation processes do introduce beneficial microbes and bioactive compounds.

Note: Scientific study of kombucha’s specific health effects is still emerging. This class focuses on education and home brewing skills, not health claims or medical advice. Consumption of fermented foods should be part of a balanced diet. Individual results may vary.
